On the morning of 24, Sept, the annual 2012 China wire & cable industry conference, which was organized by China electrical equipment industry association wire and cable branch and Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute (SECRI), was held in Shnaghai Shenggao holiday inn. Mr.Lu Yansun,The former deputy director of Ministry of Machine-Building Industry ,lifetime honorary Chairman of China electrical equipment industry association; Mr.Cai Weici, the Executive Vice President, China Machinery Industry Federation, director of Committee of experts; Mr.Chen Xiaohong, Researcher of  Development Research Center of the State Council; member of academic committee; Mr.Weidong, deputy directory of China electrical equipment industry association, director-general of wire and cable branch, head of Shanghai Electric Cable research institute, Mr.Yu Shunkang, secretary of the Party committee and  deputy director of Shanghai Electric cable research institute, Mr. Gao Qingguo, the honorary directory-general of  China electrical equipment industry association and  honorary  Chairman of wire and cable branch; Mr. Chen Fuzhong, the deputy director of China electrical equipment industrial association wire and cable branch and the president of Kungming Cables Co Ltd, and Mr. Yuan Genfa, The deputy Chairman and secretary-general of Shanghai wire and cable association attended this conference. Besides, the Taiwan's wire and cable industry association delegation , the Regional wire and cable association and the guests, delegations all over China from the industry of cable, Optical cable, machinery, material etc around 500 participated this conference. The Theme of this conference was” Upgrading and Transformation of Wire & Cable industry under New Situation”.

    Madam Xi Gendi, the secretary-general of China electrical equipment industry association wire and cable branch Chaired the opening ceremony and theme report. On behalf of the sponsors, Mr. Weidong, deputy directory of China electrical equipment industry association, director-general of wire and cable branch, head of Shanghai Electric Cable research institute made a speech of welcome, he said, the output value of wire and cable industry and main business income reached over RMB one trillion last year, currently, the economy development situation is not so bright, and how to transform becomes the key point , and following the mission to create value for its members and clients, China electrical equipment industry association and  Shanghai Electric Cable research institute has arranged t unprecedented activities this time and hope it will take the valuable service for the industry. Mr.Yuan Genfa, the Deputy chairman and secretary-general of Shanghai wire and cable association extended the speech, he said, the China wire and cable industry conference is the grandest event In China, with highest level, largest scale and most powerful influence; it has been the best communication platform for companies of the wire and cable industry. Besides, the relevant departments and leaders were invited to attend this conference and analyzed and interpreted the transformation of wire and cable industry in the Macro-economy and gave some helpful guide for the participants.

    In the morning ,during the theme report, The Mr.Cai Weici, Executive Vice President delivered the report of “the counter-measure of 2012 China macro-economy developing trend and equipment manufacturer, during the report, he analyzed the economic trend of machinery and wire & cable industry, and promoted constructive suggestion to the crisis of wire and cable industy.  Mr. Lu yansun ,The former deputy director of Ministry of Machine-Building Industry made the speech of “thoughts of China wire and cable industry development”, during the report, he analyzed the general trend and development status of electrical industrial and wire and cable industry, and mentioned that companies needs to modify production structure, improve quality and create the brand to achieve the transformation, and hope wire and cable industry to follow the health development road. Mr.Chen Xiaohong, Researcher of Development Research Center of the State Council made the speech of “competitive strategy and enterprise relationship for wire and cable industry”, and interpreted the importance of innovative strategy, ecosystem type competitive strategy and brand built, and encouraged to build the inspection system on the basis of enterprises.

    The theme report in the afternoon was chaired by Mr.Zhang Liming, deputy secretary-general, directory of work department of Shanghai electric cable research institute. Mr.Wu Shiming,the deputy secretary-general of China electrical equipment industry association wire and cable branch, deputy director of exhibition centre of Shanghai Electric cable research institute delivered the speech of “operation status of China wire and cable industry of China the first half year of 2012 and 2011”; Mr.Wu Changshun, the director of China National Centre for Quality Supervision And Test of Electric Wire and Cable and deputy Chairman of Shanghai Electric cable research institute made the analysis report of “improvement of Quality of wire and cable products”.

    Besides, the Secretary-general Madam Xi Gendi released the People's Republic of China dictionary of occupational classification- occupational of wire and cable system, Mr. Chen Youming from China electrical equipment industry association wire and cable branch made the further interpretation. Meanwhile, the award ceremony for the modification of the occupation of wire and cable system was held, and 24 companies received the award.

    Finally, On behalf of association, Mr. Weidong , Director-general introduced the information of the status of wire and cable industry. And this conference closed successfully in the harmonious atmosphere.
